Some clarification concerning the duration of treatment at doses of >= 160mg per day would be helpful. The Intercollegiate working party for stroke have proposed that secondary prevention begins (either prior to discharge or 2 weeks from the primary event - whichever is sooner). Apparently other sources have recommended at least 150mg for one month (BMJ 1998:316:1337-43)
